1. About these terms
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Legacy Risk Consult website at legacyconsult.co.za. “Legacy”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Legacy Risk Consult (Pty) Ltd, registration number 1997/001746/07, FSP number 45536.
Please read these terms before using the website. If you do not agree to them, please discontinue use. These terms apply to website use only. They do not replace a signed engagement, insurance policy, intermediary agreement, mandate or other agreement governing a particular service.
If you contact us for an organisation, you must be authorised to provide its information and make the relevant enquiry. An enquiry does not, by itself, bind you or your organisation to purchase services.
2. Website information and insurance services
The website describes our insurance administration, consulting, underwriting-related services, product development, brokerage and technology services. Its content provides general information and is not a personalised recommendation, financial needs analysis, quotation, offer of insurance or guarantee of a particular outcome.
Information on the website does not take account of your circumstances. Obtain appropriate advice and the relevant product and contractual documents before making an insurance or financial decision.
Submitting an enquiry does not create insurance cover, appoint us as your broker, confirm an appointment, accept a claim, change an existing policy or establish a professional engagement. Any cover or service is subject to the relevant parties' acceptance, applicable authorisations and the governing documents. Website descriptions of underwriting services do not themselves identify Legacy as the insurer or risk carrier.
Use the claims and notification channels specified in your policy or service agreement for time-sensitive matters. Do not assume a website enquiry satisfies a contractual deadline. Any website indication of response time is an aim rather than a guaranteed service level unless expressly agreed otherwise.

You may browse the website and use its information for lawful personal purposes or to assess our services for your organisation. You may retain reasonable copies for those purposes, preserving copyright and ownership notices.

Provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge and relevant to your enquiry. Only disclose another person's information where you have a lawful basis and authority to do so.
The general enquiry form is not intended for identity documents, banking credentials, medical records, children's information, policyholder lists or detailed claims evidence. Ask us for an appropriate channel before sharing sensitive or bulk information.
You retain any ownership rights in your submissions. We may use them to address your enquiry and for the purposes explained in our Privacy Policy; you do not grant us an unrestricted right to publish or market your content.
5. Intellectual property and third parties
Website text, designs, graphics, software and branding belong to Legacy or their respective licensors, subject to rights recognised by law. Partner names and logos remain the property of their owners. Displaying a logo does not guarantee that a particular partner will accept your application or provide a service to you.
External links are provided for convenience. Third-party websites and services have their own terms and privacy practices. Check those documents before submitting information or entering a transaction with them.
6. Availability and accuracy
We aim to keep website information useful and accurate, but it may contain errors or become outdated. We may correct information, update content, maintain systems or suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, legal or operational reasons.
We cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. If information appears incorrect or is material to your decision, contact us for confirmation.

Use of the website or submission of an enquiry is not blanket consent to unrelated marketing, unrestricted sharing or every form of information processing. A privacy notice explains processing; it does not remove our obligation to have a lawful basis for it.
9. Changes and disputes
We may update these terms by publishing a revised version with a new effective date. Changes apply prospectively and do not amend an existing service agreement without the process required by that agreement and law.
South African law governs these terms. Disputes may be brought before a South African court with jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory legal rights. You retain the right to approach an appropriate regulator or ombud. Contacting us first may help resolve a concern but does not waive those rights or extend a legal deadline.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
