1. Purpose
This policy explains cookies and related technologies associated with legacyconsult.co.za. Read it with our Privacy Policy, which covers enquiry information, recipients, retention and privacy rights.
Cookies are small values that a website asks a browser to store and return with later requests. Other technologies, such as local storage, scripts and server-side identifiers, can operate differently. Information collection can occur without a cookie.
2. Current website implementation
The website application does not explicitly set visitor cookies or persistent browser storage for accounts, shopping baskets, advertising or visitor preferences. It has no implemented visitor account or checkout system. No Google Analytics, advertising pixel, session-recording integration or embedded social-media feed was identified in the application code.
The website is hosted on Vercel. This is not an assurance that every production response is free of cookies. Hosting, security configuration, third-party changes or infrastructure outside the repository can affect actual behaviour. This policy will be updated to reflect changes to the technologies used.
3. Analytics and performance measurement
The application includes Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. These integrations support traffic and performance measurement and are not conditionally loaded behind a cookie-choice mechanism.
Vercel describes Web Analytics as using a request-derived visitor hash rather than third-party cookies. Its visitor-session identifier is discarded after 24 hours; this does not mean all statistical records expire after 24 hours. Measurement data can include visited URLs, referral information, device/browser details and approximate location. See Vercel Web Analytics privacy information.
Speed Insights measures page loading and responsiveness, with technical context such as page, browser, device and country. Vercel describes the measurements as not identifying an individual visitor. See Vercel Speed Insights privacy information.
These vendor descriptions do not establish that the website never processes personal information. Ordinary network delivery involves technical information, and page URLs can contain personal information if it is placed in them. Our contact form is not configured to send its field values as analytics events.

Resend delivers contact enquiries on the server side to our Microsoft 365 business mailbox. These email services are not browser cookies or advertising trackers in the website form implementation. Their handling of enquiry information is described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Your choices
You can use your browser settings to inspect, delete or block cookies and site storage. Blocking a technology needed for a future or infrastructure-provided feature may affect that feature. Cookie blocking alone may not prevent measurements that do not use cookies.
The current website implementation does not include an “Accept”, “Reject” or “Manage cookies” control. It does not provide an application-level analytics opt-out or a custom response to browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Browser privacy tools may restrict requests, but their effectiveness depends on their configuration and the technology used.
You may contact compliance@legacyconsult.co.za about measurement or personal-information processing. See the Privacy Policy for objection and complaint rights. Merely continuing to browse is not treated by this policy as consent to all tracking or processing.
If a new technology requires prior consent under applicable law, it must be held back until the required consent is obtained, and a usable withdrawal mechanism must be provided. The need for controls must be assessed against actual technology, processing and applicable law; a “cookieless” label alone does not resolve the assessment.
6. External websites and changes
When you follow an external link, the destination may use its own cookies and tracking. Review that website's policies. Its technologies are not automatically part of Legacy's website simply because a link or locally hosted logo appears here.
We will update this policy and the technology inventory when relevant practices change. Additional notice and choices must be provided where required before new processing begins.
